In addition to Mexico’s Independence Day, the 138th annual run for the roses is coming on Saturday, May 5th. Save the date to support CCC in their celebration of the Kentucky Derby at Zella’s.

Holly Ball 2011

CCC celebrated its largest fundraiser of the year, Holly Ball, on December 17th at the Racquet Club Chicago to a sold out crowd of over 350 guests. Our friends at Maywood Fine Arts provided a special performance to bring the holiday cheer. Thank you to all of our food, beverage, and entertainment sponsors, and our Holly Ball and Silent Auction chairs (Wentworth McGovern, Brad Schwalm, Janna Porrevecchio & Kits’ Ritter) who made the night unforgettable.

Patch the Pumpkin

On Saturday, October 8th, CCC Board Members visited Maywood Fine Arts for their annual “Patch the Pumpkin” fall fundraiser to raise donations for their rebuild. Volunteers played games with the children and watched as the children sang and performed all day.

Patch the Pumpkin

On Saturday, October 9th, members of CCC gathered in support of Maywood Fine Arts’ annual fundraising event “Patch the Pumpkin.” This year was especially meaningful, as they are so close to having the funds needed to rebuild their former location that had recently burnt down.

The morning kicked off with dance performances, games and raffles, with students and family/friends showing up decked out enthusiastically in orange to show their support. All event attendants then participated in a walk around the city, followed by karate demonstrations and a hot dog lunch for all! We wish the best for our friends at Maywood and can’t wait to hear about the successful funds raised from the event!
